Poilitical Party
I don't know much about politics, and I would normally just choose the candidate whose morals and values I agree with, their political party not affecting my decision. But if I had to pick a political party, I would probably say I am most closely aligned with the Green party. The Green party is based on the principles of environmentalism, grassroots democracy (giving power to the people in the community), nonviolence, and social justice causes. I agree with all of these principles. I am concerned about the conservation and improvement of our environment. People should be more environmentally aware and careful. I think the power belongs to the people, and we should be able to make decisions that are going to affect us directly. I believe that nonviolent revolutions and protests can be just as effective as violence and war but without all the casualties. Lastly, I believe that all people should be treated equally no matter their ethnicity. Everyone deserves equal treatment and opportunity. All these principles are very important to those people of the Green party and to myself.

I totally agree with Stephanie on the views of the green party. I agree because when I wrote this I said is I was most closely alligned with the green party. I covered most of the same points as her. Agreeing that the environment is very important to the future of our country and that grassroots democracy has the potential to be effective because the people have the right to be directly involved with their government. Lastaly I think Steph's point of nonviolent protests being just as effective as wart but without the casualities is right on point.
