I read an article on CNN.com about Iran testing missiles and other nuclear warfare. Iran has been running tests code-named "Payghambar-e Azam 4" or "The Great Prophet 4". Missiles were fired around the country Sunday. They have tested short-range missiles, medium-range missiles, and plan to test long-range missiles. The U.S and Israel believe that Israel is seeking nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian nuclear energy program, but Iran denied this.
Iran becoming a nuclear power is making the United States nervous for several reasons. This could unbalance the world's power, and we aren't exactly sure of Iran's intentions. We are afraid that they might try to use their weapons on Israel, who we are strong supporters of. Iran's nuclear weapons could cause great chaos and destruction.

I can see why the United States would be nervous about Iran having neclear weapons because no one knows exactly what Iran is capable of. They could turn and fire weapons at any country. The weapons that Iran have could cause mass chaos around the world if they begin to threaten countries with them.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say this article informed me about what was gas on in Iran, I had no clue any of this was happening. I didnt know that foreign countries were even possesing nuclear warfare. It makes me wonder if the U.S. tests nuclear weapons.
